Black Friday
Black Friday- consumerism at its finest. Families leave the Thanksgiving table in search of the cheapest and latest gadget that they just simply have to have at 5am in the morning. While this is a crazy day of camping out, fighting the crowds, and spending money, there are good deals to be had. Many stores utilized social media to get coupons and store information into the customer's hands. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc. were used on this day with great results. See the following link to view the specifics: Link.
Did you go Black Friday shopping? Did you use social media to help your shopping? What were your best buys?

I did no black friday shopping. I actually heard that if you want to get the deals on the top name brand televisions like samsung, panasonic, and LG you should wait until January! So I'm waiting for that...
ReplyDeleteThis was unbelievable, my fiance's father actually got shoved into a wall on black friday while shopping for a tv, he wasn't even trying to buy the one that was on sale, they had to call a security firm that they hired to get the guy off of him
ReplyDeleteI did not go black friday shopping this year, I went "Grey Thursday" shopping! My family decided that we would go an hour after the stores opened on Thanksgiving just for a little adventure :) We had a fun family bonding time even though we didn't have any great buys. People do go crazy though on black friday...it makes me think are the material items really that important that people are harmed through the means of getting them? Crazy...
ReplyDeleteAt the Black Friday, I may like look some stuff online, if they have a good deal on it. But this time, I was went to the shop get a shoes for my banquet and the price just like a normal sale. And I feel in the beginning of year there will have more discount for everything. I am waiting for that, too.
ReplyDeleteI like Black Friday, because I am always up for getting a good deal on name brands. However, this year I was extremely disappointed-all I got was a flannel from Bass Pro Shops for $12... a good deal, but I had wished there were more. I felt like the sales were few and far between. The mall seemed to be packed, but the price tags didn't seem any different than other days throughout the year. Maybe I was just looking at the wrong stores, but I was a bit disappointed this year.
ReplyDeleteI didnt shop on Black Friday but I did use social media by video taping and interviewing some of the Black Friday "gurus". At a Target, a lady waited in line for two hours to save 10 bucks on a toy. When I asked her if it is worth the wait, she said she could have bought it online but she enjoys coming to the store because of the tradition.
